First of all, thank you to those people who gave their opinions on this project, The truth is I couldn’t be more grateful to everyone, it is my first project with a thoughtful story and narrative.
Also thank [Junie Beats Jones] for participating at my side with the music of this project, and all the people who at some point contributed, indirectly or directly, to this game. Without his participation “Lunarbaro.” as a concept it would never have been conceived.
What has happened?
2 years and 6 months have passed since the last time I updated directly in the beta/demo which was practically upon finishing it for the “Jam” that was created. And since then the project fell into the shadows due to personal, family and economic problems that I will not go into details. But that doesn’t mean “Lunarbaro.” It is no longer on my mind, but I have been giving this story concept a review and as a game, I want to leave it as it deserves. But due to the ambition that perhaps this project entails, it has left me in a position where I have left the idea in the freezer while I learned and created more games, as well as freeing my creativity in more things than just this adventure.
I would like this game to come out, I have so many ideas and things thought out, as well as much of the story and the main plot(s) are developed or written for the most part. I would like to be able to say that there are advances in terms of programming, art or music, but sadly the original project (.yyz) is completely lost. And since I am the only person who works directly with this file, it ends up being frustrating not having it to rescue some things.
So what’s next?
I love the idea and the story and I would like to develop them completely, which is what I have decided to do, completely finish the flow of the game, finish resolving some inconsistencies with the main story, and start rebuilding the project in the video game engine. But this will take time, I would like to be one of those people who have the budget and physical resources to secure dates or something similar, but personal and economic situations in the environment can work against us.
But before all that, I want to do one last mini project first, something I’ll be posting right here. Something that frees me a little creatively and I don’t feel overwhelmed by finishing it.
With that said, I once again thank you for your support and I apologize if anyone is interested in this project but it has remained empty over the years.
